The Lindentuin offers a nice and different all-you-can-eat dining experience in a good atmosphere. At the time of writing it costs 38.50 euros per person.
Rotisserie IJkgebouw
At the edge of the city centre of Alkmaar you will find De Eendracht ‘t IJkgebouw: a historic building dated back to 1887, which now houses a restaurant with traditional, distinctive cuisine.
The restaurant is beautifully renovated with impressive high ceilings. The staff is friendly and attentive and there’s a nice covered terrace, which overlooks a garden. Food quality is very good here and the portion sizes are decent as well. Especially the apple crumble dessert is delicious. All in all, dining here is a great value for money.
Bistro de 13 Balcken
This French restaurant is located in a beautiful monumental building dated from the 17th century. The menu at Bistro de 13 Balcken is full of tasty dishes and there is a typical local Alkmaar atmosphere.
Check out the narrow alleyway next to the restaurant as well in the street called ”Geest”.

The food is delicious and there’s a huge collection of whiskey. The decorations in the restaurant are done in a really cool way too. It’s filled with lots of different Scottish items.
‘t Stokpaardje
If you’re looking for an excellent restaurant with a high-quality set menu, then ‘t Stokpaardje is perfect for you. It’s not too expensive for such a high-quality restaurant. The people working here are friendly and truly care about what they serve. They are happy to explain the course and accompanying wines.

Restaurant Irodion is located in the centre of Alkmaar. It serves some of the best Greek food in Alkmaar and its surroundings. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant, especially if you love Greek food. It’s one of my personal favorite restaurants in Alkmaar.
The egg plant dishes here are very delicious and the inside of the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere to it.
